The five-day cultural festival HARVEST: Rhythms of the Earth concluded at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi, with an electrifying performance by The Raghu Dixit Project. Curated by Sanjeev Bhargava of SEHER and organised by NABARD as part of the Grameen Bharat Mahotsav, the festival celebrated the theme “Taking Rural India Forward.”.
The event aimed to bridge the gap between urban and rural India, showcasing the authentic art, culture, and traditions of Indian villages while highlighting NABARD’s contributions to empowering rural communities.
The festival showcased India’s rich cultural heritage, starting with Vedic chants from Varanasi, Kathak, and Kuchipudi, and culminating in vibrant acts such as Bihu dance, Garba, and the soulful Baul music. Highlights included the serene Buddhist chants by Gyoto Monks and lively Punjabi hits by Faridkot.
Sanjeev Bhargava remarked, “HARVEST aimed to reconnect urban audiences with the roots of rural India through its art and traditions, inspired by NABARD’s efforts to uplift rural communities.”
