IIT Bombay has unveiled its e-Postgraduate Diploma in E-Mobility, set to begin in March 2025. This 18-month program, created for professionals and graduates, aims to address the growing demand for skilled talent in the electric vehicle (EV) industry. Delivered by IIT Bombay’s faculty in collaboration with Great Learning, the program concludes with an on-campus graduation ceremony, conferring alumni status.
Prof. Shireesh Kedare, Director of IIT Bombay, said:
“The e-Postgraduate Diploma in E-Mobility by the C1973 EV Power Train Lab is a significant step in our commitment to advanced education. Moreover, our industry partnerships bridge the gap between academic knowledge and practical application, fostering experiential learning in innovation-driven fields.”
This curriculum combines theory and practice, covering topics like EV design, battery technology, electrical drives, and power electronics. Additionally, participants will complete projects such as EV charger control and battery modelling, enhancing their hands-on experience.
Mohan Lakhamraju, CEO of Great Learning, stated:
“With the EV sector growing rapidly due to government policies and environmental awareness, this programme offers an excellent opportunity for aspiring professionals.”
Eligibility includes a B.E./B.Tech or 4-year B.Sc./BS degree in engineering, with postgraduate and doctoral candidates also welcome.
