PhonePe has introduced an affordable insurance plan for people attending the Maha Kumbh Mela in Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh, from January 13 to February 26, 2025. The coverage starts at just Rs. 59 and includes protection against health emergencies, accidents, and travel issues.
The insurance, available in two options (Rs. 59 for train/bus travellers and Rs. 99 for flight travellers), covers hospitalisation, doctor visits, personal accidents, baggage loss, trip cancellations, and more. The plan is available on PhonePe until February 25, 2025, ensuring coverage throughout the event.

Here’s how users can avail the insurance cover on the PhonePe app:
1. Navigate to the Insurance section on the PhonePe app and select “Maha Kumbh” Insurance.
2. Go through the product details and click on “Buy now”.
3. Select a plan based on your mode of travel and add member details.
4. Review the details and complete the payment in minutes.
