A tragic stampede at Vishnu Nivasam near the Tirumala temple in Tirupati has resulted in the deaths of six devotees. Several others were injured in the incident, which occurred during the distribution of tokens for the upcoming Vaikuntha Ekadashi celebrations.
The stampede took place as over 4,000 devotees gathered to collect tokens for the Vaikuntha Dwara Darshanam, scheduled to begin on January 10. Although the distribution counters were set to open early in the morning, many devotees started queuing up the previous evening, leading to severe overcrowding and chaos.
