Horror-comedy has always been a genre that excites audiences, and Hukkey  an upcoming Marathi film about four friends  is set to bring fresh thrills and laughter to the screen. After the release of its intriguing poster, the film’s first look has now been unveiled, sparking buzz across social media. With its unique theme and talented cast, Hukkey is already grabbing attention. Adding to the excitement, Bollywood actor Varun Dhawan shared the first look on his social media platforms, amplifying curiosity among fans.

The film is produced by Nitin M Rokade, Sunanda Kaluskar, Vinayak Pashte and Shweta Sanjay Thakre, with Sudhir Khot and Raees Khan as co-producers. It is presented under the banners of Magic Swan Studios and NMR Movies. Written and directed by Nitin M Rokade, the film’s first look perfectly captures the eerie yet fun essence of horror-comedy. It opens with a close-up of a crow’s blood-red eye, setting an ominous mood. The visuals then move to fishermen pulling boats on a seashore before introducing four youngsters, three boys and a girl  dubbed the ‘Four Losers.’What begins as an ordinary night soon spirals into a series of spooky and hilarious events.

The teaser hints at an unconventional horror-comedy, blending scares with humour. Marathi cinema favourite Prathamesh Parab teams up with comedy ace Pandharinath ‘Paddy’ Kamble, creating an exciting pairing that audiences are eager to watch.

Director Nitin M Rokade shared that the first look was designed to capture the film’s distinct tone. “It’s short, striking, and does exactly what it should  grab attention. The combination of atmosphere, performances, background music, and crisp subtitles makes it stand out,” he said. Rokade added that this teaser will be crucial in drawing audiences to cinemas.

The screenplay has been penned by Nitin M Rokade, Sandeep Kumar Roy, and Madhulita Das, with contributions from Ninad Pathak and Sanjay Navgire. The cast also includes Ravi Kishor, Prashant Mohite, Mahesh Patil, Aarti Chaubal, Varsha Dhandale, Mohak Kansara, and Pankaj Vishnu.

Music for Hukkey has been composed by Raghavendra V. and the duo Prafull-Swapnil. Notably, South Indian composer Raghavendra V. marks his Marathi film debut with this project. The film’s visuals are crafted by cinematographer Farooq Khan, while choreography is handled by Santosh Ganpat Palavankar and Imran Malgunkar. The thrilling action sequences are designed by Sansh Kumar and Nitin M Rokade, promising a cinematic experience packed with chills, laughs, and surprises.
