A 25-year-old entrepreneur from a tier-2 city has surprised the internet after revealing how he built a net worth of around ₹1.6 crore through meme pages and online content. His journey, which started with freelancing at the age of 18, has now become an example of how digital platforms can create new-age business opportunities.
The young entrepreneur shared his financial journey on Reddit, explaining how he built a digital media business by managing multiple meme and theme pages on social media. Over the years, his focus on content creation and disciplined investing helped him achieve financial stability at an early age.
According to his post, his current net worth stands at approximately ₹1.6 crore. He revealed that his investments are spread across different asset classes, including Indian equities, savings, real estate, US stocks, mutual funds, crypto and fixed deposits.
Breaking down his portfolio, he said around ₹90 lakh is invested in Indian equities, making it the largest part of his wealth. He also has around ₹45 lakh kept in cash and bank savings, ₹15 lakh invested in real estate, ₹7.5 lakh in US stocks and ₹5 lakh in mutual funds. His investments in crypto and fixed deposits together account for around ₹4 lakh.
Apart from his investments, he also mentioned having a ₹50 lakh term insurance policy. However, he admitted that he does not currently have health insurance for himself or his parents.
The entrepreneur said his main source of income comes from his digital business, but since business earnings can fluctuate, he is now looking for ways to diversify his wealth. He asked the Reddit community for suggestions on scaling his business, investing his savings better and moving towards Financial Independence, Retire Early (FIRE).
“I’ve had around ₹30-45 lakh sitting in the bank for quite some time. I know keeping such a large amount in a savings account isn’t particularly productive, but I haven’t found a real estate opportunity where the price and risk-reward made enough sense,” he wrote.
The post received appreciation from several users who praised his ability to convert social media skills into a profitable business. Many users suggested exploring real estate investments, rental income opportunities and further expansion of his digital media ventures.
The young entrepreneur’s journey highlights how social media platforms have created opportunities beyond traditional careers. What started as freelancing eventually turned into a business model that helped him build significant wealth before turning 25.
