The Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), with support from the Competition Commission of India (CCI), is organizing the Annual Conference on Competition Law and Practice on Friday, February 7, 2025, at Hotel Sofitel, BKC, Mumbai. The event will run from 9:00 AM to 5:15 PM.
The conference will focus on key developments in competition law, including recent amendments, enforcement trends, and regulatory challenges. Discussions will cover topics such as merger control, anti-cartel enforcement, antitrust measures, governance, and the impact of digital markets and artificial intelligence.

- Inaugural Session: Overview of competition law in India, recent amendments, and enforcement trends.
- Plenary 1: Merger control, deal value thresholds, and exemptions.
- Plenary 2: Anti-cartel enforcement, leniency policies, and emerging issues.
- Plenary 3: Antitrust measures, commitments, settlements, and penalties.
- Plenary 4: Governance, compliance culture, and competition law’s interface with data protection.
- Plenary 5: Regulation of digital markets and artificial intelligence.
Hon’ble Ravneet Kaur, Chairperson of CCI, will be the Chief Guest, presiding over the inaugural session and chairing Plenary Session 1. CCI Members Sweta Kakkad and Deepak Anurag will chair other sessions. The conference will also feature insights from Inder Pal Singh Bindra, Secretary, CCI; Dr. Sanjay Kumar Pandey, Adviser (Law), Digital Markets Division; and Zia Mody, Chairperson, CII National Committee on Regulatory Affairs.
