On Sunday, the Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) made major announcements at its National Convention, defining its political, social, and organisational roadmap. The resolutions include:
- Akash Anand’s Removal
- Anand Kumar and Ramji Gautam’s Appointment
- Mayawati’s Stand on Leadership Succession
- Electoral Strategy
- Social Justice and Reservation in Private Sector
- Women’s Empowerment and Law and Order
- Farmers’ Rights and Employment Policies
Here is key things BSP declared in its latest resolutions:

On Akash Anand’s Removal: “In the interest of the party’s discipline and principles, the Bahujan Samaj Party has decided to relieve Akash Anand from his responsibilities. The BSP does not function based on individual personalities but on its ideology.”
On Leadership Succession: “There is no question of announcing any successor at this stage. The party will continue under the leadership of Mayawati. All organisational decisions will be made keeping BSP’s ideology and the movement’s larger goals in mind.”
On Anand Kumar and Ramji Gautam: “For strengthening the party, we appoint Anand Kumar and Ramji Gautam as National Coordinators. Their experience and commitment will help in expanding the party’s reach and effectiveness.”

On Social Justice and Representation: “The BSP remains firmly committed to the ideals of Babasaheb Dr B.R. Ambedkar. We resolve to ensure proportional representation for Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, Other Backward Classes, and religious minorities in all sectors.”
On Constitutional Protection and Reservation: “We strongly oppose any attempts to weaken the Constitution, reservation policies, or fundamental rights of Dalits, Adivasis, and backward communities. The BSP will resist any such move.”
On Electoral Strategy and Alliances: “The BSP will contest elections independently, ensuring that it remains a strong, unyielding voice for the oppressed. Our focus is on expanding grassroots reach and strengthening our cadre to achieve electoral success.”
On Reservation in Private Sector and Economic Policies: “True social equality cannot be achieved without economic empowerment. The BSP demands reservation for Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, and Other Backward Classes in the private sector to ensure fair opportunities.”
On Law and Order: “A corruption-free and crime-free governance model is our priority. The BSP calls for stringent action against those who exploit or harm marginalised communities.”
On Women’s Empowerment: “Equal political participation is essential for true empowerment. The BSP demands immediate implementation of women’s reservation in legislatures, ensuring fair representation in governance.”
On Farmers’ Welfare and Employment Generation: “The BSP demands better policies for farmers, including fair crop prices, debt relief, and improved agricultural infrastructure. Additionally, more employment opportunities must be created for youth.”
The Bahujan Samaj Party reaffirmed its dedication to these resolutions and vowed to implement them with unwavering determination. The party also warned against any misinformation or political influence attempting to disrupt its ideology.
With Akash Anand removed, Anand Kumar and Ramji Gautam appointed, and a clear political roadmap, the BSP has set its course for upcoming elections. Will these decisions reshape the party’s future? Only time will tell.
