Known for his intense screen presence and memorable performances, Abhimanyu Singh is set to explore a completely different side of his acting talent in the upcoming web series Adarsh Baal Vidyalaya. After winning praise for his roles in Devara: Part 1, Bachchhan Paandey, The Kandahar Hijack, Inspector Avinash and Khakee: The Bihar Chapter, the actor will now be seen portraying a dedicated school teacher who believes that discipline is the key to shaping responsible individuals.
In the seven-episode series, Abhimanyu essays the role of a strict yet compassionate educator who commands respect through his principles rather than authority. His character firmly believes that education is not limited to textbooks and examinations but is also about building character, honesty and resilience. While his methods may appear tough on the surface, every decision he makes is driven by the desire to prepare his students for the challenges of life.
The role offers audiences a refreshing change from the action-packed and intense characters that Abhimanyu Singh has become known for over the years. Instead of playing men defined by power or conflict, he steps into the shoes of a mentor whose greatest strength lies in guiding the next generation with conviction and integrity.
Sharing his thoughts about the role, Abhimanyu Singh said, “I’ve played many intense and authoritative characters throughout my career, but portraying a strict teacher comes with a very different kind of responsibility. My character believes that discipline isn’t about fear, it’s about preparing students to face life with confidence, integrity and resilience. He may come across as tough, but every decision he makes is driven by a genuine desire to bring out the best in his students. I think we’ve all had that one teacher we feared in school, only to realise later that they were the ones who shaped us the most. That’s the essence of this character, and I hope audiences connect with it.”
The series is directed by Himank Gaur and created by Biswapati Sarkar and Sameer Saxena under the banner of Posham Pa Pictures. Bringing together a talented ensemble cast, Adarsh Baal Vidyalaya features acclaimed actors including Kay Kay Menon, Gyaneshwar Tripathi, Archana Puran Singh, Naveen Kasturia, Deven Bhojani and Prasanna Bisht in pivotal roles.
With its mix of humour, emotion and meaningful storytelling, the series promises to explore the importance of education beyond the classroom. It highlights the influence teachers can have on young minds and the lasting impact of values such as discipline, responsibility and perseverance.
For Abhimanyu Singh, the project marks another significant milestone in a career built on versatility and fearless performances. By taking on a role that is both relatable and inspiring, he once again demonstrates his ability to bring authenticity to characters across different genres.
Adarsh Baal Vidyalaya will premiere exclusively on Prime Video on July 24, 2026. With an engaging storyline, a stellar cast and a thought-provoking message, the series is expected to resonate with viewers of all ages and offer a heartfelt tribute to the teachers who shape lives beyond the classroom.
