The government is using Artificial Intelligence (AI) to solve farm issues. These AI-based tools help farmers with crop health, pest control, and farming schemes.
AI chatbot assists farmers
The government launched Kisan e-Mitra, an AI-powered chatbot. It answers farmer queries on the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi scheme. It supports multiple languages and is expanding to other schemes. This chatbot handles 20,000 queries daily. So far, it has answered over 92 lakh questions.
AI detects pests early
The National Pest Surveillance System uses AI and Machine Learning (ML). It helps detect pest attacks before they damage crops. Farmers can upload pest images for quick analysis. Over 10,000 extension workers use this tool. It currently supports 61 crops and 400 pests, with nearly 1 lakh images uploaded.
Crop monitoring with AI
AI-driven tools monitor crop health using field photos, satellites, and weather data. These tools track soil moisture and detect issues in rice and wheat farming. They help farmers take timely action.
These AI-based solutions aim to boost farm productivity and reduce crop losses.
