The Bollywood megastar has sold his luxurious duplex apartment in Oshiwara, Mumbai, for an incredible Rs 83 crore. This information comes directly from property registration records analysed by Square Yards.
Located in The Atlantis, a high-end residential project by Crystal Group, the property is part of a complex spread across 1.55 acres. The project offers lavish 4, 5, and 6 BHK apartments, making it one of the most sought-after addresses in the city. Mr Bachchan originally purchased this duplex in April 2021 for Rs 31 crore. Selling it at Rs 83 crore marks a phenomenal 168% increase in its value. The sale was officially registered in January 2025.
Star Tenant Before the Sale
This apartment wasn’t just another asset in the Bachchan family portfolio. In November 2021, it was rented out to actress Kriti Sanon for Rs 10 lakh per month, with a hefty security deposit of Rs 60 lakh. The rental arrangement added to the property’s charm, highlighting its appeal to high-profile tenants.
The duplex spans nearly 530 square metres (around 5,704 square feet) of built-up area, while its carpet area is slightly smaller at 481.75 square metres (approximately 5,186 square feet). Additionally, it boasts an expansive terrace of 445.93 square metres, perfect for enjoying Mumbai’s skyline. The property also includes six mechanised car parking spaces. For this transaction, a stamp duty of Rs 4.98 crore and a registration fee of Rs 30,000 were paid.
