Audi has started local assembly of its all-new Q3 in India. The German luxury carmaker began production at the Škoda Auto Volkswagen India Private Limited (SAVWIPL) plant in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar.
The new Audi Q3 is scheduled to launch in India on October 16, 2026. Local assembly marks an important step for Audi as it prepares to introduce the latest generation of its compact luxury SUV to Indian customers.
Built in India
The all-new Q3 will be locally assembled at the SAVWIPL facility in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar. The plant supports production for brands within the Volkswagen Group in India.
Audi says the new Q3 combines everyday practicality with the performance expected from a luxury SUV. The model will be powered by a 2.0-litre petrol engine.
It will also come with Audi’s quattro all-wheel-drive system. This technology is a key part of Audi’s approach to performance and driving capability.
New Features
The latest Q3 brings a new design and updated technology. Audi says the SUV will feature several segment-first features and technologies.

Piyush Arora, Managing Director and CEO of Škoda Auto Volkswagen India, said the start of production reflects the capabilities of the Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar facility.
He also highlighted the company’s focus on supporting the growth of its brands in India. According to Arora, the locally produced Q3 will follow Audi’s global standards of quality, precision and engineering.
Balbir Singh Dhillon, Brand Director, Audi India, said the start of production is another step towards the Q3’s Indian launch.
He said the new generation is expected to build on the model’s role as an important gateway to the Audi brand. The company is looking to expand its customer base and strengthen its presence in India.
