Oorjaguru Ayush Gupta, one of India’s youngest Reiki Grandmasters and Energy Healers, recently brought Reiki, meditation and energy awareness to Sansad Youth Parliament 2026 in Bhopal. He conducted a special Reiki healing and energy-awareness session on August 14 at the Bhopal Assembly premises, creating a calm and reflective space for young participants.
The session offered a meaningful break from the discussions, debates and activities of the Youth Parliament. It encouraged participants to pause, focus on themselves and explore the importance of mental balance and self-awareness in today’s fast-paced world.
A Moment to Pause and Reconnect
Speaking about the experience, Ayush Gupta explained that the session was designed to introduce young participants to positive energy, meditation, self-awareness and mental balance.
According to him, the Youth Parliament brought together young people who were actively discussing important social and national issues. While such conversations require confidence, knowledge and strong communication skills, Ayush believes that maintaining inner balance is equally important.
“The idea was to give young participants a moment to pause from the intense discussions and debates of the Youth Parliament, connect with themselves, and understand the importance of maintaining inner balance in today’s fast-paced environment,” he said.
The response from the participants was highly encouraging. Ayush shared that the young attendees actively participated in the meditation and energy-focused activities. Many described the experience as peaceful, positive and different from their usual Youth Parliament activities.
For Ayush, the session created an important connection between leadership and self-awareness.
Bringing Inner Awareness to a Youth Platform
Ayush Gupta was invited to conduct the session as a Reiki Grandmaster and Energy Healer as part of Sansad Youth Parliament 2026. The programme was jointly organised by Sakar Drishti Social Foundation and Kaleido Hope, Nagpur.
The experience was particularly meaningful for Ayush as the event brought together young participants from different parts of the country to discuss important social and national issues. These participants were not only engaging with national and social issues but were also exploring their own potential as future leaders.
“Bringing the dimension of energy, meditation and self-awareness to such a platform made the experience even more special,” Ayush said.
He believes that leadership should extend beyond external achievements. For him, understanding and managing oneself is an important part of becoming an effective leader.
Bridging Ancient Wisdom with Modern Youth
As a young healer himself, Ayush sees his work as more than a personal achievement. He believes he has a responsibility to make traditional practices easier for younger generations to understand and relate to.
“Being young and working in the field of healing gives me an opportunity to communicate ancient wisdom in a language that today’s generation can understand and relate to,” he said.
He describes this approach as creating a bridge between ancient knowledge and the mindset of modern youth. According to Ayush, young people today are ambitious, informed and willing to question established ideas. Combining this curiosity with self-awareness, emotional balance and a positive mindset, he believes, can help build a stronger generation of leaders.
“Leadership should not only be about how we influence the world outside, but also about how well we understand and manage ourselves from within,” he explained.
Why Meditation and Healing Matter for Young People
Ayush believes that young people today face a unique set of pressures. Competition, social media, constant information, academic and professional expectations, and the pressure to succeed can make it difficult to maintain mental clarity.
While developing professional and external skills is important, he believes that young people should also have opportunities to develop inner resilience and emotional awareness.
“Healing and meditation sessions can give young people a space to pause, breathe and reconnect with themselves,” he said.
According to Ayush, practices such as Reiki and meditation can encourage self-awareness, relaxation and a more positive mindset. However, he emphasised that these practices should complement, rather than replace, education, professional development or meaningful action.
His approach is therefore centred on balance. Young people need knowledge and skills, but they can also benefit from taking time to reflect, understand themselves and approach challenges with greater calmness.
A Vision for Mindful Leadership
Ayush believes that mindfulness can have a meaningful role in youth-oriented programmes and institutions. In his view, the development of a strong nation requires more than educated and professionally skilled citizens.
“A strong future needs not only educated and skilled youth, but also balanced and self-aware youth,” he said.
He also shared a broader idea inspired by his experience at the Youth Parliament. Ayush suggested that parliamentary proceedings could begin with a brief moment of meditation and reflection.
His reasoning is simple: when people are calm and focused, they may be better prepared to listen, communicate and consider different perspectives before making decisions.
Looking Towards the Future
The Sansad Youth Parliament 2026 experience has strengthened Ayush Gupta’s belief in the importance of combining leadership with inner awareness. For him, the future belongs to a generation that can not only speak confidently and raise important questions but can also listen, reflect and take responsibility.
“The future of India is in the hands of a generation that is not only capable of raising important questions, but is also willing to think deeply, listen carefully and take responsibility for the country’s future,” Ayush concluded.
His session at the Bhopal Assembly premises offered young participants a different perspective on leadership. It looked beyond public engagement and external success to include self-awareness, reflection and inner balance.
As youth platforms continue to evolve, Ayush’s message highlights the importance of creating spaces where young people can develop not only their skills and knowledge, but also the awareness needed to use them responsibly.
