Mumbai, 24 March 2026: The much-awaited second season of Battleground is gearing up for its release, with Rusk Media unveiling key highlights of the upcoming edition. The popular fitness reality show will stream on Amazon MX Player from April 2026, promising a bigger and more competitive format.
One of the biggest announcements for Season 2 is the return of Abhishek Malhan, widely known as Fukra Insaan. He will reprise his role as mentor, leading the Delhi Dominators team once again. After guiding his team to victory in the debut season, Malhan’s comeback adds strong momentum and excitement to the new edition.
This season will also see a significant expansion in the team lineup. Alongside the defending champions Delhi Dominators, three new teams have been introduced: Mumbai Strikers, Telugu Tigers, and Bhojpuri Bhaukaals. These additions aim to bring regional diversity, fresh rivalries, and a heightened level of competition, making the show more engaging for audiences across India.
In addition to its evolving format, Battleground Season 2 has attracted major brand partnerships. Leading names such as Performax and DaMENSCH have joined as special partners, while Pratikar has come on board as an associate partner. These collaborations highlight the show’s growing appeal as a platform to connect with young, fitness-focused audiences through immersive content.
Speaking about the new season, Mayank Yadav, Co-Founder and CEO of Rusk Media, emphasised the show’s rapid growth and its focus on deeper audience engagement. He noted that Season 2 aims to expand the Battleground universe with stronger storytelling, competitive intensity, and increased opportunities for brand integration.
Aruna Daryanani, Director at Amazon MX Player, added that the first season received strong viewer response, making it one of the platform’s standout reality shows. She stated that the upcoming season will feature bigger rivalries, fresh personalities, and more interactive brand experiences, while continuing to offer free, high-quality entertainment.
Sharing his thoughts, Abhishek Malhan expressed excitement about returning to defend his title. He highlighted that the competition will be tougher this time, with stronger teams and higher energy levels.
With an upgraded format, new teams, and strategic partnerships, Battleground Season 2 is set to emerge as one of India’s most dynamic fitness reality shows when it premieres in April 2026.
