Chartered Speed aims to Roll Out 900+ E-Buses in 13 Cities
Chartered Speed will operate over 900 electric buses in India. The contract was awarded by Convergence Energy Services Limited (CESL). These buses will run under the Pradhan Mantri e-Bus Sewa Scheme.
The company will handle procurement, operations, and maintenance. Services will cover 13 cities in Chhattisgarh, Rajasthan, and Meghalaya. This project aims to serve 2.9 lakh passengers daily.
Cities to Get E-Buses
The e-buses will run in Raipur, Durg-Bhilai, Bilaspur, Korba, Ajmer, Alwar, Bikaner, Bhilwara, Jaipur, Jodhpur, Kota, Udaipur, and Shillong.
The initiative also aims to create over 2,000 jobs. This will boost both the transport and employment sectors.
Aiming for a Greener Future
Chartered Speed is shifting from internal combustion engines to green fuel-powered vehicles. The company is committed to reducing emissions and promoting sustainable transport.
It currently operates 1,800+ buses in Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Odisha, and Assam. These serve over 3.5 lakh passengers daily. The company employs more than 4,800 people.
This new fleet will enhance urban mobility with cleaner and more efficient transportation options.
