Cupid Limited, India’s leading maker of male and female condoms, has received UNFPA prequalification for its Brown Caramel Female Condom Variant. This approval allows Cupid to supply 100% of the female condoms needed for South Africa’s RT75-2025 Government Tender. The tender spans five years, with bidding closing on 31 January 2025.
Previously, Cupid was eligible to supply 75% of the contract in shorter tenders lasting three years. Aditya Halwasiya, Managing Director of the company, said, “This is a big boost for us. We have strong partners in South Africa to help maximise orders in this tender. The tender is significant, with an annual demand of 1 billion male condoms and 40 million female condoms. We will work closely with all stakeholders to meet the needs for both products.”
