Over 2,500 Rural Students to Benefit from Better Learning Spaces by 2026
Toyota Kirloskar Motor (TKM) has started work on an education infrastructure development project in Vijayapura, Karnataka. This initiative aims to improve facilities for six key educational institutions, benefiting over 2,500 rural students by 2026.
The project involves building 26 new classrooms, upgrading sanitation and hygiene facilities, setting up kitchens for mid-day meal programs, and providing essential furniture. Construction has already begun at the Government Degree College, Mamadapura, and Government High School, Kanamuchanal.
The institutions set to benefit are:
- Government Degree College, Mamadapura
- Government PU College, Arjunagi
- KPS Mamadapura
- Government High School, Bolchikalakki
- Government High School, Hebbalahatti (RMSA)
- Government High School, Kanamuchanal
This project addresses urgent infrastructure needs and supports increased student capacity, creating a better environment for academic and personal growth.
At the ground-breaking ceremony, Karnataka’s Industries Minister, Dr. M. B. Patil, commended TKM’s efforts, saying: “Quality education drives progress. This initiative will uplift thousands of students and pave the way for a brighter future.”
