The FTI-TTP was recently inaugurated at airports including Lucknow, Thiruvananthapuram, Trichy, Kozhikode, and Amritsar. It allows passengers to complete immigration in just 30 seconds. No more long queues, repeated document verification, or delays. This program is designed to make air travel smooth and stress-free.
Passengers who enroll in FTI-TTP can use automated e-Gates at immigration points. The process is simple: travellers register online at the portal, provide required documents, and have their biometrics recorded either at the airport or at the Foreigners Regional Registration Office (FRRO). On the travel day, passengers only need to scan their boarding pass and passport at the e-Gate. The system verifies their identity using biometrics, and the gate opens automatically for immigration clearance.
The program is not only convenient but also safe and secure. By using technology to verify identities quickly, FTI-TTP reduces human errors and strengthens security at airports. This makes travel faster without compromising safety.
Since the launch of FTI-TTP in 2024 at major airports like Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Kolkata, Bengaluru, Kochi, and Ahmedabad, over 2.65 lakh passengers have already benefited from this system. With its expansion to more airports, including the upcoming Navi Mumbai and Jewar airports, even more passengers can enjoy seamless travel.
FTI-TTP is part of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi’s vision of Speed, Scale, and Scope. The idea is to combine technology with efficiency, so passengers can travel comfortably while India maintains high security standards. The program is especially helpful for frequent flyers, business travellers, and airline passengers, saving them time and making their journey smoother.
