The teaser of Kadhipatta has created a buzz in Marathi cinema. Audiences are calling it “spicy,” and curiosity is rising fast. The film will release across Maharashtra on 7 November, bringing freshness to the screen with a new lead pair.
Presented by Yuvan Productions and produced by Swapnil Yuvraj Marathe, the film is written and directed by Vishwa. The teaser shows a unique love story inspired by Maharashtrian folk culture. It begins with playful ukhaana verses recited during weddings. First, the hero says, “Marriages are tied in heaven, today I take Mira’s name for my verse.” The heroine follows with, “In heaven’s witness, I promise my wedding vow, Lalit is my beloved, my jaaneman.” But the teaser ends on a surprising twist: the very love that begins with vows moves towards divorce. This unexpected angle has left viewers eager to know what unfolds.
Actor Bhushan Patil plays the male lead, while actress Riddhi Kumar, already known in South Indian films, makes her Marathi debut. Their on-screen chemistry adds freshness to the narrative. The story explores the life of a modern couple—emotions, choices, relationships, and expectations. Makers believe Kadhipatta will resonate with audiences of every age group.
The supporting cast includes Sanjay Mone, Shubhangi Gokhale, Akshay Tanksale, Gargi Phule, Gauri Sukhatankar, Sanika Kashikar, and Nisha Mane. Guest appearances feature Anand Ingale, Ananda Karekar, and Chetna Bhatt. Cinematography is by Aniket Khandagale, while Cinepolis will distribute the film.
The music album will be released under Himesh Reshammiya Melodies. Lyrics are by Mandar Cholkar, Mukund Bhalerao, and Vinu Sangwan, with compositions by Padmanabh Gaikwad and Ashish Khandal. Tanmay Bhide has scored the background music, Rishiraj Joshi has edited the film, costumes are designed by Pallavi Patil and Gargi Patil, and makeup is by Kiran Sawant. Vishal Chavan serves as executive producer, while Samyukta Subhash is the project head.
With its mix of tradition, emotion, and a twist-filled storyline, Kadhipatta promises to add fresh flavour to Marathi cinema.
