Madhuri Dixit’s ongoing Canada Tour recently became the subject of online debate after attendees voiced frustration over alleged delays and confusion about the event’s structure. However, the national organisers have now come forward to set the record straight.
Atique Sheikh, the National Promoter for the tour, addressed the controversy in a press conference, clarifying that Madhuri Dixit was not responsible for any delay. According to him, the confusion was caused by a local promoter’s miscommunication regarding the event format.
Sheikh explained that the event was never intended to be a concert but rather a Fan Meet & Greet, featuring an interactive fireside chat with Madhuri Dixit. “Some fans were misinformed that it was a concert, which led to misunderstanding,” he said.
He further added, “Madhuri ji has always been professional and punctual. She arrived at 9:30 PM for her scheduled appearance and went on stage between 9:45 PM and 10:00 PM, exactly as planned.”
The organisers confirmed that Indian Idol artists Shivangi Sharma and Tanmay Chaturvedi performed for the audience from 7:30 PM to 9:00 PM, while Madhuri also attended a Meet and Greet session at 5:30 PM.
They reiterated that there was no delay or lapse from Madhuri Dixit or her team. The entire confusion arose solely due to wrong information circulated by local promoters.
Concluding the clarification, Sheikh praised Madhuri Dixit Nene’s commitment and discipline, reaffirming her image as one of Bollywood’s most punctual and professional stars.
