The “Lado Campaign” from Betul has now made its mark in Chicago, USA. It’s a campaign that’s not just about politicians or celebrities, it’s about ordinary people like you and me, making extraordinary changes. Led by Anil Narayan Yadav, this initiative is spreading awareness, respect, and empowerment, especially for daughters
Fulfilling the Prime Minister’s Vision
Anil Narayan Yadav is a passionate advocate for the “Beti Bachao Beti Padhao” initiative. This campaign, which was launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on 22 January 2015, aims to empower daughters and celebrate their importance in our society. What started as a local effort has now become a nationwide and even international movement.
Anil Yadav’s journey began on 8 November 2015, the birthday of his daughter Ayushi Yadav, when he launched the Lado Foundation. Since then, this campaign has spread across 28 states in India and beyond, reaching international cities like London and Chicago. Recently, nameplates featuring daughters’ names were installed in homes in Chicago, reflecting the global reach and success of the initiative.
Changing Mindsets and Celebrating Daughters
The “Saat Samundar Paar, Betiyon Ko Dular” campaign is more than just about nameplates, it’s about changing mindsets. It has spread across villages, towns, and cities, bringing positive energy wherever it goes. With the help of Betul residents Anoop Verma and Ajay Pawar, the campaign reached new heights, even crossing international borders. To date, 3,600 homes across India have installed nameplates with daughters’ names, a powerful symbol of change.
A Grassroots Movement
Anil Yadav’s story is truly inspiring. Coming from a humble background and running a small pan shop, Anil started this initiative to honour daughters and bring about a societal shift. His efforts align perfectly with the Prime Minister’s three key missions: “Beti Bachao Beti Padhao,” “Digital India,” and “Swachh Bharat Abhiyan.” The campaign conveys these messages through nameplates that now grace homes across India and abroad, making the vision of a better, more equal society a reality.
Support from the Community
The success of the Lado Campaign is not just due to Anil Yadav’s leadership but also the strong support from the community, parents, journalists, and everyone involved. Journalists like Imran Khan, who was the Bureau Chief of Airson News, have also supported this initiative, with homes now being identified by their daughters’ names. This has inspired many families and communities to embrace the campaign and celebrate their daughters.
Anil Yadav’s commitment to empowering daughters and uplifting society makes him a true social reformer. His efforts are not only in line with the Prime Minister’s vision of a progressive India but also play a significant role in making that vision a reality. The Lado Foundation is transforming societal norms and opening up a path for a brighter future for all.
The Lado Campaign is more than just an initiative; it’s a movement that celebrates daughters, promotes equality, and fosters a culture of respect and recognition.
