Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE), an Institution of Eminence Deemed to be University, has been honoured with the CII Award on Excellence for Women in STEM 2025 for the second consecutive year. The award, presented at the CII Annual Summit in New Delhi, recognises MAHE’s consistent efforts to promote diversity, equity, and inclusion in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM).
The award highlights MAHE’s strong institutional frameworks, focused mentorship programmes, and supportive research and academic environment that empower women faculty, researchers, and innovators to excel in STEM fields.
The award was received by Dr. Chandrakala C. B., Joint Director, MIT Manipal, and Dr. Prema K. V., Joint Director, MIT Bengaluru. The presentation was made by prominent dignitaries, including Dr. Ashish Mohan, Executive Director, CII; Dr. Vaishali Nigam Sinha, Chair of CII Women in STEM Initiatives; Ms. Inge Buffolo, Director of the EU Intellectual Property Office; and Dr. Chandrika Kaushik, Director General, DRDO, Government of India.
Dr. Narayana Sabhahit, Pro Vice Chancellor, Technology & Science, MAHE, said:
