Manipal, November 19, 2025: Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE), an Institution of Eminence, successfully hosted Kairos 2025, its annual International Student’s Day celebration. The event brought together more than 30 international universities, highlighting MAHE’s dedication to fostering global collaboration and cultural exchange. This year, the theme was “Empowering Students to be Agents of Change,” reflecting the university’s vision of nurturing global citizens.
The day began with an International University Fair, held from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM. Students explored academic programs, scholarship opportunities, and enrollment procedures from over 30 universities worldwide. The fair also included representatives from local colleges in Udupi, strengthening community engagement and providing attendees with insights into global education opportunities. Partner universities participating in the fair further reinforced MAHE’s existing international collaborations.
From 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM, the event transitioned into a vibrant cultural showcase. Students hosted country stalls representing 20 nations, including Efrie-France, Deakin University-Australia, and Maastricht University-Netherlands. Both Indian and international students participated, supported by faculty members from MAHE. Dr. H.S. Ballal, Pro-Chancellor of MAHE, visited the stalls, interacting with students and appreciating the creative efforts that celebrated cultural diversity.
The formal launch of Kairos 2025 took place between 6:15 PM and 6:45 PM, with Lt. Gen. (Dr.) M. D. Venkatesh, VSM (Retd), Vice Chancellor, as Chief Guest, and Dr. Sharath K. Rao, Pro Vice Chancellor (Health Sciences), as Guest of Honor. The inauguration saw Heads of Institutions and student representatives from participating countries jointly unveil the event, celebrating the multicultural spirit of MAHE. A group photograph commemorated the launch.
Dr. Anup Naha, Director of International Collaborations, MAHE Manipal, said, “Kairos 2025 exemplifies our commitment to creating global citizens who can thrive in a connected world. Bringing together students, universities, and cultures allows us to celebrate diversity while fostering collaboration and cross-cultural understanding essential for future leaders.”
The evening featured lively cultural performances by international student organizations such as IAESTE, AIESEC, IPSF, MUN, VSO, and student teams from Tibet and the Maldives. Each group presented five-minute performances aligned with the global theme, followed by an energetic DJ session that united the student community in celebration.
The day-long festival not only celebrated international education and culture but also reinforced MAHE’s position as a hub for global learning, offering students, faculty, and international partners a platform to engage in meaningful dialogue and collaboration.
