Marriott International Asia Pacific excluding China (APEC) has unveiled an expanded line-up of curated guest experiences under Good Travel with Marriott Bonvoy™, reinforcing its commitment to intentional and meaningful travel across the region. Announced on 10 February 2026, the enhanced programme features nearly 100 unique experiences across close to 80 hotels in 12 APEC markets, offering travelers opportunities to connect deeply with local communities and environments.
Designed around two core pillars Community and Environment Good Travel with Marriott Bonvoy™ encourages guests to explore destinations beyond conventional tourism. The programme enables travelers to understand local cultures, contribute positively to ecosystems, and engage in hands-on initiatives that reflect what truly matters to the places they visit.
“The enhanced Good Travel with Marriott Bonvoy™ programme reinforces our commitment to delivering meaningful experiences for guests,” said John Toomey, Chief Commercial Officer, Marriott International, APEC. “Today’s travelers want to travel with intention and gain a deeper understanding of the destinations they visit, while supporting local communities and environments.”
Each experience under the programme is thoughtfully crafted to bring guests closer to the cultural and environmental fabric of a destination. Available exclusively to hotel guests, these bespoke offerings range from sustainability-led activities to community-focused engagements, enabling travelers to make a tangible, positive impact during their stay.
India plays a significant role in the programme, with six Good Travel experiences across six participating hotels in the country. These include one luxury, four premium, and one select property, offering a balanced mix of four environment-focused and two community-driven initiatives. India also ranks second in APEC for the highest number of domestic destinations offering Good Travel experiences.
Key experiences in India include conserving Himalayan topsoil through afforestation efforts at JW Marriott Mussoorie Walnut Grove Resort & Spa, and urban sustainability initiatives such as tree planting and composting at The Westin Mumbai Garden City. Culinary-focused experiences like transforming food scraps into gourmet creations at Renaissance Lucknow Hotel and zero-waste fermentation practices at The Westin Pune Koregaon Park highlight circular economy principles.
Community engagement is equally central, with guests able to support tribal heritage through Warli art sessions at Courtyard by Marriott Bhopal and uplift marginalized communities in Ahmedabad through partnerships with the SAATH charitable trust at Le Méridien Ahmedabad.
Through Good Travel with Marriott Bonvoy™, Marriott International continues to champion purpose-driven hospitality, empowering travelers to explore consciously while fostering lasting benefits for local communities and environments across Asia Pacific
