Marriott Bonvoy has unveiled a bold new step into the world of outdoor adventure travel. The global hospitality leader announced Marriott Bonvoy Outdoors, a digital platform designed to connect travelers with nature through tailored stays and curated activities. Alongside the launch, the brand introduced its Outdoor Collection by Marriott Bonvoy™, a unique portfolio of properties built for adventure seekers.
Nothing compares to the thrill of discovering the outdoors, yet planning can often feel overwhelming. Many travelers return to the same familiar places simply because finding new destinations and experiences isn’t always easy. Marriott Bonvoy Outdoors changes this by offering inspiration, accommodations, and activities all in one place.
Travelers can now explore more than 450 hotels, 50,000 Homes & Villas, and countless Tours & Activities. Whether it’s skiing in Switzerland from W Verbier, paddle boarding in Banff at Moxy, or scuba diving in Belize near Alaia Belize, Autograph Collection, planning an outdoor escape has never been simpler.
As part of this launch, Marriott introduced the Outdoor Collection by Marriott Bonvoy™, a curated selection of outdoor-focused properties. Guests can expect comfortable beds, hot showers, and modern amenities combined with unmatched access to nature.
The collection debuts with two pioneering brands:
- Postcard Cabins – Over 1,200 Scandinavian-inspired cabins across 29 U.S. locations, each less than two hours from major cities. Guests enjoy fire pits, access to trails, lakes, and clear night skies.
- Trailborn Hotels – Boutique-style hotels in iconic destinations such as the Grand Canyon, Blue Ridge Mountains, and Wrightsville Beach. Each property blends premium design, curated dining, and cultural programs with guided excursions and field guides.
To celebrate the launch, Marriott Bonvoy has partnered with adventurer and filmmaker Dylan Efron for the Drop Pin Challenge. This real-world treasure hunt invites travelers across 20 outdoor destinations in the U.S. and Canada to search for physical map pins.
The first 50 participants to scan each pin’s code will win 10,000 Marriott Bonvoy points, with a total of 10 million points up for grabs. Dylan Efron kicked off the challenge at Big Bear Lake, California, embodying the adventurous spirit at the heart of this campaign.
In addition, Marriott Bonvoy Outdoors is partnering with Outside Interactive to create extraordinary Marriott Bonvoy Moments. Guests can look forward to immersive adventures such as hiking the Kauai coastline in Hawaii, kayaking in the Maldives, or snorkeling in Belize.
An exciting 1-point drop Moment with Dylan Efron is set for November, with more outdoor-focused experiences rolling out through 2026.
Peggy Roe, Executive Vice President and Chief Customer Officer at Marriott International, summed it up:
“Travel is at its best when it speaks to who we are and what we love. With Marriott Bonvoy Outdoors and the Outdoor Collection, we’re not just offering places to stay. We’re opening doors to experiences that inspire, connect, and stay with you forever.”
With this launch, Marriott Bonvoy Outdoors transforms travel into something deeper: not just about where you go, but what you experience along the way. From boutique cabins and curated cultural stays to playful challenges and guided adventures, it invites travelers to see the world as their playground.
