Continuing the momentum of the Vibrant Gujarat initiative, Marwadi University is set to host the Vibrant Gujarat Regional Conference (VGRC), organised by the Government of Gujarat, from 11 to 12 January 2026. The event aims to strengthen Gujarat’s position as a global leader in education and innovation, with a particular focus on giving Saurashtra and the broader state an international presence in the education sector.
In line with this vision, Marwadi University has proposed an MoU with the Gujarat Government’s Education Department for a ₹1,000 crore investment. The proposed funds will be used to create state-of-the-art academic infrastructure, including new academic blocks equipped with advanced laboratories, modern sports facilities, and next-generation hostels. Additionally, the university plans to establish a 10,000 sq. ft. dedicated centre for innovation and start-ups, as well as a separate academic block for continuing education, aimed at working professionals and entrepreneurs.
The VGRC, reflecting the theme “Vocal for Local,” will be organised across four zones of Gujarat — North Gujarat, Saurashtra–Kutch, South Gujarat, and Central Gujarat. The conference is expected to attract global participation, with delegations from countries such as Japan, South Korea, Vietnam, and the Netherlands. Prestigious international organisations, including JETRO, ICBC, USISPF, the World Bank, and the Russian Federation, are also expected to take part, highlighting the event’s international significance.

During the two-day event, participants can expect seminars, exhibitions, MoU signings, B2B and B2G meetings, buyer–seller interactions, and vendor development programmes. Key focus areas will include Artificial Intelligence, Digital Marketing, Sustainability, Circular Economy, Auto and Precision Engineering, among others. Building on the legacy of ten successful editions of the Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit, this regional conference seeks to reinforce Gujarat’s status as a global investment hub and accelerate the state’s economic development.
