GOLD Feb-25 futures contract gains by 0.51% and SILVER Mar-25 futures contract gains by 0.92%, while CRUDEOIL Feb-25 futures contract drops by 0.22% : Bullion Index MCXBULLDEX Jan-25 futures was reached at 19371 point
India’s leading commodity derivatives exchange, Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX) has recorded turnover of Rs.75547.02 crores in various futures & option contracts for commodities listed at MCX on 24 January 2025 till 5:00 pm. In which commodity futures accounted for Rs. 10757.36 crores and options on commodity futures for Rs. 64784.52 crores (notional). Bullion Index MCXBULLDEX Jan-25 futures was reached at 19371 point.
Commodity Future Contracts:
Bullion: In precious metals, Turnover of Gold and Silver variants clocked Rs. 7305.98 crores. GOLD Feb-25 contract was up by 0.51% to Rs. 80035 per 10 gram, GOLDGUINEA Jan-25 contract was up by 0.15% to Rs. 63713 per 8 gram and GOLDPETAL Jan-25 contract was up by 0.16% to Rs. 7895 per gram. On other hand, GOLDM Feb-25 contract was up by 0.44% to Rs. 79943 per 10 gram.
SILVER Mar-25 contract was up by 0.92% to Rs. 91987 per kg, while SILVERM Feb-25 contract was up by 0.89% to Rs. 91946 per kg and SILVERMIC Feb-25 contract was up by 0.86% to Rs. 91913 per kg.
Gold futures clocked turnover of Rs. 3698.20 crores with volume of 4607 lots and OI of 18100 lots while Silver futures clocked turnover of Rs. 1468.87 crores with volume of 5320 lots and OI of 24536 lots.
Base Metal: Turnover of base metal products accounted for Rs. 1609.70 crores. COPPER Jan-25 contract was up by 1.02% to Rs. 841.25 per kg and ZINC Jan-25 contract was up by 0.26% to Rs. 271.45 per kg while ALUMINIUM Jan-25 contract was up by 0.61% to Rs. 254.1 per kg and LEAD Jan-25 contract was up by 0.08% to Rs. 177.65 per kg.
Copper futures clocked turnover of Rs. 874.32 crores, Aluminium futures Rs. 237.26 crores, Lead futures Rs. 28.86 crores, and Zinc futures clocked turnover of Rs. 340.27 crores.
Energy: Turnover of energy products contributed for Rs. 1853.09 crores. CRUDEOIL Feb-25 contract was down by 0.22% to Rs. 6470 per BBL while NATURALGAS Jan-25 contract was down by 2.07% to Rs. 330.5 per MMBTU.
Crude Oil futures clocked turnover of Rs. 288.06 crores and Natural Gas futures Rs. 1306.19 crores.
AGRI: MENTHAOIL Jan-25 contract was down by 0.03% to Rs. 920 per kg and COTTONCNDY Jan-25 contract was up by 0.17% to Rs. 53420 per candy.
Options on Commodity Future Contracts:
Commodity Options accounted for Rs. 64784.52 crores turnover (notional), having premium turnover of Rs. 751.97 crores.
Crude Oil Options: Most traded contracts among Crude Oil Options were Call Option Feb-25 contract at Strike price of Rs.6500 was down by 7.22% to Rs. 173.40 with volume of 34122 lots & OI of 7176 lots, while Crude Oil Put Option Feb-25 contract at Strike price of Rs.6500 was up by 2.69% to Rs. 202.1 with volume of 31708 lots & OI of 9222 lots.
Natural Gas Options: Most traded contracts among Natural Gas Options were Call Option Jan-25 contract at Strike price of Rs.340 was down by 81.72% to Rs. 0.85 with volume of 34419 lots & OI of 5443 lots, while Natural Gas Put Option Jan-25 contract at Strike price of Rs.330 was up by 39.22% to Rs. 3.55 with volume of 50665 lots & OI of 5814 lots.
Gold Options: Most traded contracts among Gold Options were Call Option Jan-25 contract at Strike price of Rs.80000 was up by 66.67% to Rs. 287.50 with volume of 3596 lots & OI of 719 lots, while Gold Put Option Jan-25 contract at Strike price of Rs.79500 was down by 60.08% to Rs. 106 with volume of 3753 lots & OI of 1174 lots.
Silver Options: Most traded contracts among Silver Options were Call Option Feb-25 contract at Strike price of Rs.92000 was up by 20.4% to Rs. 2700.00 with volume of 827 lots & OI of 776 lots, while Silver Put Option Feb-25 contract at Strike price of Rs.92000 was down by 11.73% to Rs. 2693 with volume of 472 lots & OI of 354 lots.
