With the divine blessings of Shri Siddhivinayak, the much-awaited Marathi film ‘Nirdhar’ has revealed its intriguing first-look poster, creating a wave of curiosity among cinema lovers. The film, produced by Padmaja Walavalkar under the banner of Jayalakshmi Creations, is all set to release across Maharashtra on November 28.

For years, Marathi cinema has reflected the pulse of society — its struggles, ideals, and transformations. ‘Nirdhar’ continues this legacy by addressing corruption and moral conflict through a powerful narrative. The film’s poster was launched at the Shri Siddhivinayak Temple in Prabhadevi, Mumbai, in a ceremony attended by Temple Trustee Mahesh Mudaliar, producer Jitendra Raut, and members of the film’s cast and crew.
Written by Dinanath Walavalkar and directed by Dilip Bhopale, ‘Nirdhar’ promises a gripping story of determination, courage, and societal reform. The poster evokes patriotism, featuring a striking image of the tricolor and highlighting lead actors Dr. Girish Oak and Saurabh Gogate in intense expressions. The visuals hint at a deep, thought-provoking film that will question the existing social order.
The storyline of ‘Nirdhar’ revolves around a group of youth determined to confront corruption and injustice. Their battle against a corrupt system forms the crux of the narrative — portraying their emotional, ideological, and moral journey. The film aims to ignite a sense of social responsibility and inspire today’s generation to become changemakers.
Speaking about her inspiration, producer Padmaja Walavalkar shared, “While living in society and working within it, I always felt a moral duty to give something back. ‘Nirdhar’ was born out of that very feeling — to reflect truth, determination, and positivity.” She also expressed confidence that the audience will connect deeply with the film’s message of resilience and moral strength.
The film features a stellar ensemble including Dr. Girish Oak, Saurabh Gogate, Pallavi Patwardhan, Pragya Kelkar, Milind Uke, Umesh Bolke, Abhinav Kurane, Janhvi Sawant, Rituja Kanojia, Abhay Patil, Shreyas Mohite, Dinanath Walavalkar, Yuvraj Jugar, Ketki Patil, Pallavi Prasad, Anand Patil, Surendra Ketkar, Vidya Dange, N.D. Chougule, and Komal Ranadive.
Distributed by Pickle Entertainment, the film boasts an experienced technical team — Atul Supare (DOP), Vicky Bidkar (art direction), Atul Shidhaye (makeup), Prashant Parkar (costume design), and Sangram Bhalkar (choreography). Rahul Patil serves as co-director, with Atharva Walavalkar as creative producer.
With its strong storyline and patriotic undertones, ‘Nirdhar’ is expected to be one of the most talked-about Marathi releases of the year.
