Prime Minister Narendra Modi has expressed condolences over the loss of lives in the Prayagraj Maha Kumbh tragedy.
Modi stated that he has spoken to Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and assured that all necessary steps are being taken to assist those affected. He also wished a speedy recovery for the injured.
In a post on X, Modi said the incident was deeply saddening and extended his sympathies to the bereaved families. He assured that the local administration is providing all possible support and that he is in constant touch with the state government.
