Vice President of India C. P. Radhakrishnan attended the inaugural Ramoji Excellence Awards 2025 held at Ramoji Film City in Hyderabad. Speaking at the event, he paid a warm tribute to Ramoji Rao, describing him as a visionary leader who created institutions that continue to shape Indian media and public life. He said Ramoji Rao’s commitment to quality and his ability to transform ideas into reality make him a guiding figure for future generations.
The Vice President noted that the world is currently experiencing rapid digital growth, with information moving faster than ever before. In this environment, he emphasised that the media must stay rooted in truth, ethics and responsibility. According to him, credibility is the strongest asset any media organisation can hold, especially when technology and misinformation challenge public trust. He added that ethical media practices will play an essential role in helping India realise its long term vision of Viksit Bharat by the year 2047.
The Ramoji Excellence Awards 2025 honoured individuals who have made remarkable contributions across various areas of public life. Seven categories were announced this year. Amla Ashok Ruia received the award for Rural Development for her service towards community upliftment. Srikant Bolla was recognised in the Youth Icon category for his inspiring journey and leadership as a young entrepreneur. Prof. Madhavi Latha Gali was honoured for her achievements in the field of Science and Technology. Akash Tandon was awarded in the Service to Mankind category for his dedicated humanitarian work. Prof. Sathupati Prasanna Sree received recognition in the Art and Culture category for her contribution to literature and cultural studies. In the Journalism category, Jaideep Hardikar was awarded for his impactful reporting. Pallabi Ghosh was honoured as a Woman Achiever for her work against human trafficking and her efforts to empower vulnerable communities.
The Vice President congratulated each awardee and said their achievements reflect dedication, resilience and service to society. He expressed confidence that their stories would inspire many others to pursue excellence in their chosen fields. He also highlighted that awards like these encourage positive change and celebrate meaningful contributions that benefit the nation.
The event was attended by prominent dignitaries, including the Governor of Telangana Jishnu Dev Varma, former Vice President M. Venkaiah Naidu, Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu, Union Ministers Kishan Reddy and Kinjarapu Rammohan Naidu, former Chief Justice of India N. V. Ramana and Ramoji Group Chairman Ch. Kiron. Their presence added significance to the occasion and reflected the widespread respect for the legacy of Ramoji Rao.
