On January 26, 2025, India will celebrate its 76th Republic Day with a grand parade at Kartavya Path in New Delhi. This year’s event holds special significance as it marks 75 years since the enactment of the Indian Constitution. The parade will showcase India’s rich cultural heritage and military prowess, emphasizing the nation’s unity in diversity.

In line with the government’s “Jan Bhagidari” (People’s Participation) initiative, around 10,000 special guests from various walks of life have been invited to witness the parade. These guests include sarpanches (village heads), disaster relief workers, artisans, and beneficiaries of various government schemes, recognizing their contributions to nation-building.
Enhanced Accessibility and Convenience
To facilitate public participation, a comprehensive mobile app and the ‘Rashtraparv Portal’ have been developed, providing information on ticket booking, seating arrangements, and parking. Delhi Metro services will commence at 4:00 AM on January 26, offering free rides to invitees and ticket holders. Additionally, a ‘Park and Ride’ scheme will be implemented, with shuttle services from designated parking areas to the parade venue.

Leading up to Republic Day, various competitions, including essay writing, painting, and quizzes, have been organized to engage citizens, especially the youth, in the celebrations. Winners of these competitions will be invited to attend the parade, fostering a sense of national pride and involvement.
