Samsung is back with its third edition of the Walk-a-thon India, aiming to inspire Indians to embrace fitness with rewards in hand—literally. The challenge, running from August 1 to August 30, 2025, is open to users across the country. And this year, the stakes are higher.
Participants must walk 200,000 steps in 30 days. Finishers get assured discount coupons worth up to ₹15,000 on the brand-new Galaxy Watch8. But that’s not all. Three lucky winners will walk away with the Galaxy Watch8 itself.
How to Join
It’s simple. Users must register on the Samsung Health app, available on Samsung Galaxy smartphones. The app will host a real-time leaderboard, letting users compare progress and stay motivated.
Those who complete the step challenge must claim their rewards via the Samsung Members app between September 5 and September 30, 2025.
The newly launched Galaxy Watch8 is making headlines. It’s just 8.6 mm thin, available in 40 mm and 44 mm sizes, and comes in Graphite and Silver colours. The Super AMOLED display offers 3000 nits peak brightness, perfect for outdoor use.
Under the hood, it runs on a 3 nm Exynos W1000 chipset, powered by Wear OS 6 and Samsung’s One UI Watch 8. It’s also the first smartwatch to ship with Gemini, Google’s AI assistant.
Smart Features for Smarter Fitness
Galaxy Watch8 supports real-time tracking across sleep, stress, nutrition, and activity, thanks to Samsung’s BioActive Sensor. It also introduces the Antioxidant Index to measure carotenoid levels in just 5 seconds—a new step towards promoting healthy ageing.
For runners, the Running Coach feature is a game-changer. It kicks off with a 12-minute running test, then tailors a programme from over 160 training plans. Real-time coaching and post-run feedback keep users informed and motivated.
With Walk-a-thon India, Samsung continues to make health a habit—and rewards a motivation.
