Mumbai, March 17, 2025: Skoda Auto Volkswagen India Private Limited (SAVWIPL) has achieved a major milestone by producing 500,000 locally manufactured engines at its Chakan facility in Pune. This marks a significant boost for India’s automotive industry and strengthens the country’s role as a key manufacturing and export hub.

SAVWIPL remains committed to cleaner mobility with advanced engine technologies. The 1.0-litre TSI engine features enhanced emission control, while the 1.5-litre TSI engine includes Active Cylinder Technology (ACT) for improved efficiency.
