In one of the biggest pre-release deals in recent Indian cinema, Toxic: A Fairytale for Grown-Ups has secured a massive ₹120 crore distribution agreement for the Andhra Pradesh and Telangana territories. The rights have been acquired by Sri Venkateswara Creations, led by noted producer Dil Raju, marking what trade analysts describe as the highest acquisition for a non-Telugu origin film in the region.
The film is produced by KVN Productions and Monster Mind Creations. The deal, structured as an advance on a commission basis, reflects strong market confidence in the project’s commercial prospects. Industry sources indicate that multiple distributors were in contention for the AP–TG rights before SVC finalised the agreement.
Headlined by Yash, the film has generated significant buzz since its announcement. The actor, widely recognised for the success of the KGF franchise, commands a substantial following in the Telugu-speaking states. Trade observers note that anticipation for his next release has remained high following KGF Chapter 2, contributing to the strong pre-release traction for Toxic.
Speaking about the collaboration, Dil Raju described Yash as a major force in Indian cinema whose market presence has expanded globally in recent years. He added that the banner is pleased to associate with what it considers a prestigious and large-scale project.
Toxic is written by Yash and Geetu Mohandas, who also directs the film. The project has been simultaneously shot in Kannada and English, with dubbed versions planned in Hindi, Telugu, Tamil and Malayalam. The multilingual approach highlights the makers’ intention to position the film as a pan-Indian and international release.
The technical team includes National Award-winning cinematographer Rajeev Ravi, music composer Ravi Basrur and editor Ujwal Kulkarni. The action sequences are choreographed by Hollywood stunt director JJ Perry, alongside National Award-winning action directors Anbariv and Kecha Khamphakdee.
Produced by Venkat K. Narayana and Yash, the film is scheduled for a worldwide theatrical release on 19 March 2026. The release date coincides with festive occasions including Eid, Ugadi and Gudi Padwa, positioning Toxic as a major box-office contender across multiple markets.
