Strengthening youth diplomacy & Cultural ties
India will welcome the Central Asian Youth Delegation from 22nd to 28th March 2025. The visit is part of the International Youth Exchange Programme (IYEP), led by the Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports. The 100-member delegation includes young leaders from Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, and Uzbekistan.
This initiative aligns with the vision set during the India-Central Asia Summit in January 2022. During the summit, India proposed an annual youth exchange to strengthen mutual understanding between young leaders from both regions.
Cultural & Heritage immersion
Delegates will visit India’s iconic landmarks to experience its rich heritage. The itinerary includes visits to the Taj Mahal, Agra Fort, Humayun’s Tomb, and Goa’s historical sites.
Academic & Economic engagement
The delegation will interact with students and faculty at IIT Delhi. They will also visit the Goa Chamber of Commerce & Industry (GCCI) and the Goa Institute of Management. These sessions will highlight India’s advancements in technology, research, and entrepreneurship.
Volunteerism & Leadership discussions
A key part of the visit includes discussions with MY Bharat volunteers. Topics will focus on youth leadership, empowerment, and innovation.
Diplomatic interactions
The delegation is scheduled to meet the External Affairs Minister, the Chief Minister of Goa, and the Governor of Goa. These high-level meetings will emphasize the role of youth in diplomacy and international cooperation.
Cultural exchange & Gala dinner
A special roundtable and gala dinner will be held in honour of the delegation. Delegates will exchange best practices on youth engagement in their respective countries.
Enhancing regional collaboration
This youth exchange programme aims to build stronger India-Central Asia relations. It will foster cultural understanding, leadership development, and economic cooperation. The initiative reinforces India’s commitment to regional peace, friendship, and long-term partnerships with Central Asia.
