Amazon MX Player has released the trailer for its highly anticipated crime drama series, Chidiya Udd, set to stream for free starting January 15. Based on Aabid Surti’s critically acclaimed novel Cages, the series offers a raw and intense look into Mumbai’s underworld.
Produced by Harman Baweja and Vicky Bahri and directed by Ravi Jadhav, the series features a powerful ensemble cast, including Jackie Shroff, Bhoomika Meena, Sikandar Kher, Madhur Mittal, Mayur More, and Mita Vashisht. Chidiya Udd tells the gripping tale of Seher, a young woman from Rajasthan who finds herself entangled in the complexities of Mumbai’s criminal underbelly. As alliances shift and power struggles intensify, the story explores her fight for survival and freedom.
Karan Bedi, Director and Head of Amazon MX Player, described the series as a “gripping tale of a woman’s rise to power in Mumbai’s notorious underworld,” while Amogh Dusad, Head of Content, highlighted its themes of survival, defiance, and complex human emotions.
Jackie Shroff, who plays the role of Qadir Khan, shared, “Chidiya Udd is a world of twists and survival. Portraying Qadir was a challenging yet rewarding experience.” Bhoomika Meena, who portrays Seher, added, “Seher’s journey is one of strength and resilience.
