In a significant move to uphold academic integrity, students appearing for the Maharashtra board exams will take a pledge against copying before their examinations begin. This initiative aims to curb malpractice and promote ethical behavior among students.

The Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education (MSBSHSE) has instructed all schools and junior colleges to administer this pledge, emphasizing the importance of honesty in education. The move comes in response to concerns over cheating incidents in previous years, which have raised questions about the fairness of assessments.

Speaking about the initiative, an MSBSHSE official stated, “Exams should be a true reflection of a student’s knowledge and hard work. This pledge serves as a reminder that success should be earned through effort, not unfair means.”

Schools and colleges across Maharashtra have welcomed the decision, with many institutions organizing awareness sessions to instill the values of sincerity and integrity in students.

With board exams being a crucial milestone in a student’s academic journey, the pledge against copying is expected to reinforce the importance of fair play and ethical conduct in Maharashtra’s education system.
