The spiritual and cinematic journey of Krishnavataram Part 1 – The Heart continues to win appreciation from audiences across India and abroad. Adding another significant moment to the film’s growing recognition, veteran actress and Mathura MP Hema Malini attended a special screening of the film in Mathura and praised its scale, performances and devotional essence.
The screening was held at JV Cinema in Mathura, a city deeply associated with the life and legacy of Lord Krishna. As the birthplace of Lord Krishna and one of the country’s most important spiritual destinations, Mathura provided a meaningful backdrop for the special event. The atmosphere during the screening was emotional and devotional, making the occasion even more memorable for the cast and crew.
Directed by Hardik Gajjar and produced by Sajan Raj Kurup, the film presents the divine leelas and emotional journey of Lord Krishna on a grand cinematic scale. The film stars Siddharth Gupta as Lord Krishna, alongside Sushmita Bhatt as Radha, Nivashini Krishnan as Rukmini, Sanskruti Jayana as Satyabhama and J. Karthik as Satrajit.
During the screening, Hema Malini watched the film in its entirety and appreciated its visual richness, storytelling and spiritual depth. According to producer Sajan Raj Kurup, she was deeply impressed by the performances of the actors, the direction and the large-scale production values that brought the world of Krishna alive on screen.
He shared that Hema Malini especially admired the film’s grand presentation, devotional music and artistic detailing. She praised the hand-painted costumes and handcrafted jewellery used in the film, recognising the effort and dedication that had gone into creating an authentic mythological experience for audiences.
The producer also revealed that much of the film was shot in Gujarat, which is considered the karmabhoomi of Lord Krishna. The makers made a conscious effort to maintain spiritual authenticity throughout the filmmaking process.
Before the film’s release, the team launched the trailer at Shri Krishna Janmabhoomi in Mathura. They also visited several sacred sites associated with Lord Krishna, including Banke Bihari Temple, Raman Reti, Radha Rani Temple, Prem Mandir and ISKCON Vrindavan, where they sought blessings for the film.
The film has now expanded its reach beyond India and is currently running in more than 1,500 theatres across the country while also releasing in 56 countries worldwide. Adding to its cultural significance, the film has also been declared tax-free in Uttar Pradesh.
With its devotional storytelling, large-scale visuals and growing audience appreciation, Krishnavataram Part 1 – The Heart is steadily emerging as one of the notable mythological cinematic releases of the year.
