Manchester City sealed a historic fourth consecutive Premier League title. They beat West Ham 3–1 at the Etihad Stadium to finish two points ahead of Arsenal.
Phil Foden opened the scoring inside two minutes. He doubled the lead in the 18th minute with a stunning left-footed strike. Mohammed Kudus pulled one back for West Ham with a brilliant overhead kick before half-time.
However, Rodri sealed the deal in the 59th minute with City’s third goal. Despite late pressure, City held firm. The stadium erupted as the final whistle confirmed another league triumph.
With this win, Pep Guardiola’s side made history. No other team has ever won four English top-flight titles in a row. City ended the season with 91 points, followed by Arsenal at 89.
The match was also a farewell for West Ham’s manager David Moyes. He received a warm reception from both sets of fans.
Amid the celebrations, Kevin De Bruyne was at the centre of attention. Manchester City confirmed they are considering a statue for him outside the Etihad. The Belgian midfielder has been key to City’s dominance over the past decade.
De Bruyne has won six Premier League titles since joining City in 2015. His vision, passing and consistency have made him a fan favourite and club legend.
Statues of Vincent Kompany, David Silva and Sergio Agüero already stand outside the stadium. De Bruyne’s inclusion would complete a generation-defining tribute.
Guardiola praised his team’s resilience and mentality. He said the pressure was immense but his players stayed focused. He credited the fans for their support throughout the season.
City now shift focus to the FA Cup final against Manchester United. Victory there would seal a domestic double.
