Jodhpur will host the 12th Rajasthan International Film Festival (RIFF) from 31 January to 4 February 2026. The festival is recognised by the Federation of Film Societies of India (FFSI) North Region. It is organised with support from the Rajasthan Tourism Department and the Department of Art and Culture, Government of Rajasthan, in association with Stage OTT. This year’s theme is “Cinemasthan – Your Lens, Our Rajasthan.”
The festival will mark 10 years of promoting cinema in Rajasthan. Bollywood casting director and filmmaker Mukesh Chhabra will receive the Honorary Award of Excellence for Contribution to Indian Cinema.
Chhabra will attend the festival and conduct a masterclass titled “Discovering the Craft of Acting” on 3 February at Miraj Cinemas, Bluecity Mall. He will share insights on the audition process, understanding characters, and preparing for a career in acting. The session is designed for aspiring actors, film students, and young artists.
Mukesh Chhabra has cast for over 300 films and web series, including Chillar Party, Rockstar, Gangs of Wasseypur, Queen, Delhi Crime, Sacred Games, and Dhurandhar. He made his directorial debut with Dil Bechara in 2020 and is known for discovering and mentoring new talent.
RIFF 2026 will feature film screenings, open forums, talk shows, workshops, exhibitions, and a viewing room called Black Box at the RIFF Film Market. The grand closing and award night will be held on 4 February at Jaipol, Mehrangarh Fort, and Chokelao Mahal Terrace, in collaboration with the Mehrangarh Museum Trust.
Entries are open for short films, documentaries, animation, music videos, vertical films, web series, ad films, feature films, regional films, Rajasthani films, and international films. Filmmakers can submit entries via www.riffjaipur.org and FilmFreeway. The last date for submissions is 31 December 2025.
