Producer Murad Khetani is expressing gratitude for the encouraging response to ‘Baththa’, which marks his debut in the Tamil film industry. The film has been receiving appreciation from audiences and continues to reach a wider viewership, including through its expansion into key North Indian markets. For Khetani, the film’s reception has made this professional milestone particularly meaningful.

Reflecting on the film’s success, the producer said he was humbled by the love and appreciation audiences had shown towards ‘Baththa’. He noted that seeing a film connect with viewers is one of the most rewarding experiences for a producer, adding that the response had been encouraging.

‘Baththa’ holds a special place in Khetani’s career as his first venture in Tamil cinema. The experience has also brought him the opportunity to collaborate with several prominent names associated with the project. Expressing his appreciation, he thanked Vijay, director Balaji Tharaneetharan, the entire cast and crew, and everyone who contributed to bringing the film to the screen.

Khetani also extended special thanks to filmmaker Atlee for introducing him to the project and making him part of what he described as a special film. Recalling how the collaboration began, the producer said that he was immediately interested when Atlee shared the one-line concept of the story with him.

“My special thanks to Atlee Sir for making me part of such a special film,” Khetani said, highlighting the filmmaker’s role in bringing him on board. He added that when Atlee narrated the central idea, he was instantly convinced that he wanted to be associated with the project.

The producer also acknowledged the support and confidence shown by Alok Jain, Ajit Andhare and the entire Star Studios 18 team. He thanked them for believing in the vision behind the film and supporting the project. According to Khetani, the collective efforts of the people involved have been an important part of the film’s journey.

Beyond acknowledging his collaborators, Khetani expressed gratitude towards audiences for embracing ‘Baththa’ with warmth and affection. He emphasised that audience appreciation encourages filmmakers and producers to continue backing stories that connect with people on an emotional level.

For Khetani, the film’s reception represents both a significant career milestone and an opportunity to explore further collaborations in Tamil cinema. He expressed hope that the experience would lead to more meaningful projects and allow him to continue contributing to stories that resonate with audiences across regions.
