Toyota Kirloskar Motor and Hero MotoCorp have lauded the Union Budget 2025-26 for its emphasis on infrastructure development, green mobility, and domestic manufacturing, calling it a catalyst for India’s economic growth.

Vikram Gulati, Country Head and Executive Vice President of Toyota Kirloskar Motor, stated that the budget’s increased capital expenditure allocation underscores the government’s commitment to modernising infrastructure, which is critical for industrial growth. He highlighted the inclusion of 35 additional capital goods for EV battery manufacturing as a significant step towards localising lithium-ion battery production, reducing import dependency, and supporting India’s energy security goals.
Gulati also praised the budget’s focus on rationalising taxation and supporting MSMEs, particularly in labour-intensive sectors, as measures that align with India’s ambition to become a global manufacturing hub. He reiterated Toyota’s commitment to advancing clean energy technologies and contributing to India’s vision of becoming a carbon-neutral economy by 2070.

Meanwhile, Dr. Pawan Munjal, Executive Chairman of Hero MotoCorp, described the budget as a “bold vision for Viksit Bharat,” emphasising its focus on rural empowerment, green energy, and manufacturing excellence. He noted that the elimination of income tax for individuals earning up to ₹12 lakh would boost consumer spending and economic activity.
Munjal also welcomed the budget’s push for electric vehicle (EV) technology and energy storage solutions, stating that these measures would accelerate India’s transition to clean mobility and reinforce its position as a global leader in sustainable innovation.
Both companies expressed confidence that the budget’s initiatives would drive inclusive growth, job creation, and India’s emergence as a self-reliant, globally competitive economy.
