In a continued effort to enhance community well-being, Toyota Kirloskar Motor (TKM) has launched advanced water purification units in the Mysore district. These units aim to provide safe and hygienic drinking water to communities, directly benefiting over 3,98,870 people.
The inauguration, attended by Dr. Yathindra Siddaramaiah, Member of Karnataka Vidhana Parishath, alongside TKM’s senior leadership, highlighted the long-term impact of this initiative. With a six-stage filtration process and a real-time water monitoring system, the units ensure the removal of Total Dissolved Solids (TDS) and provide uninterrupted service with solar and backup power solutions.
TKM’s collaboration with local Grama Panchayats fosters a sense of ownership in the project, ensuring its sustainability. Each unit has the capacity to purify 7,500 litres of water per hour, improving water quality and promoting better sanitation practices across the region.
“These initiatives reflect our ongoing commitment to community development,” said Sudeep Dalvi, Chief Communication Officer at TKM. “We are focused on ensuring better public health and supporting the well-being of the communities we serve.”
TKM’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) efforts are deeply embedded in its values, spanning education, health, road safety, and environmental sustainability. This latest project is part of TKM’s broader objective to support a cleaner, healthier, and more sustainable future.
