As Bigg Boss Season 19 gears up for its first contestant reveal, speculation is heating up. One name that has caught attention is actress and certified nurse Shikha Malhotra. A recent podcast appearance has set the rumour mill spinning.
When asked if she would join the show, Shikha kept it simple. “If I am given an opportunity, I will go,” she said. That single statement was enough to fuel widespread discussion online.
Shikha is more than an actress. She gained recognition after appearing with Shah Rukh Khan in Fan. However, her life took a different turn when she volunteered as a nurse during the pandemic in a Mumbai hospital. Her dedication came at a price. She contracted COVID-19 and later suffered a stroke that left her half-paralysed on her right side.
The recovery was long and demanding. Over two and a half years, her weight fluctuated from 50 kilos to 86 kilos. Through determination, she regained her health and now weighs 47 kilos.
Her journey of recovery has made her a survivor in the true sense. But it was her straight talk during Sid Kannan’s podcast that caught the spotlight. Addressing the idea of entering Bigg Boss, she said, “If you cannot handle controversy and trolling, this industry is not for you. Rumours and gossip rule here. So if I get a Bigg Boss call, I will go willingly.”
The remark became a trending topic overnight. Entertainment portals called her a “rumoured Bigg Boss entry,” while social media users labelled her response as direct and fearless.
Despite the speculation, there is no official confirmation of her entry yet. But Shikha’s ability to handle scrutiny and criticism has already set her apart. She balances two very different worlds – acting and nursing – and navigates both with ease.
Whether she steps into the Bigg Boss house or not, her story continues to draw attention. For now, the buzz remains alive, and fans are watching to see if the rumours turn into reality.
