PM Narendra Modi will visit Arunachal Pradesh and Tripura on 22nd September. During his visit, he will lay the foundation stone of development projects worth more than ₹5,100 crore in Itanagar and later travel to Tripura to inaugurate the Mata Tripura Sundari Temple Complex at Matabari. The visit will combine infrastructure growth with cultural and spiritual heritage promotion. This highlights how the government is working to balance modern progress with traditional values.
In Arunachal Pradesh, the Prime Minister will focus on the state’s immense hydropower capacity. He will lay the foundation stone for two major projects worth more than ₹3,700 crore. These include the Heo Hydro Electric Project of 240 MW and the Tato-I Hydro Electric Project of 186 MW. Both will come up in the Siyom sub-basin of the state, boosting clean energy and supporting the region’s economic growth.
The Prime Minister will also set in motion plans for a modern Convention Centre in Tawang, located at a height of 9,820 feet. Designed to meet global standards, the centre will seat over 1,500 delegates and host conferences, exhibitions, and cultural festivals. It will strengthen tourism while creating a landmark facility for the frontier district.
In addition, projects worth more than ₹1,290 crore will be launched in areas like connectivity, health, fire safety, and women’s welfare. These new initiatives are expected to improve everyday life, boost jobs, and expand regional opportunities. As part of his vision to promote ease of doing business, the Prime Minister will also interact with traders, taxpayers, and entrepreneurs to understand the impact of recent GST reforms.
In Tripura, the focus will shift towards preserving India’s cultural and spiritual heritage. The Prime Minister will inaugurate the newly developed Mata Tripura Sundari Temple Complex in Matabari under the PRASAD scheme. The temple is one of the ancient 51 Shakti Peethas, located in Udaipur town of Gomati district.
The temple complex has been redeveloped with new pathways, renovated entrances, fencing, a drainage system, and a three-storey complex that includes stalls, a meditation hall, guest rooms, and office spaces. Designed to resemble a tortoise when viewed from above, the project blends tradition with modern facilities. It is expected to boost tourism, create jobs, and open up new business opportunities, supporting socio-economic development in the state.
The visit will underline Prime Minister Modi’s dual focus on driving large-scale infrastructure growth and strengthening India’s cultural identity.
