This time, the IFFI masterclasses are open to the general public, making film learning more accessible than ever before. The sessions include expert talks, discussions, workshops and interactive fireside chats on themes like artificial intelligence, sustainability, women-led cinema and modern storytelling.
During the launch, the Minister announced that more than 200 films from India and abroad will be screened at IFFI 2025. He also highlighted that over 50 films are directed by women, showcasing the rising strength and creativity of women in the film industry. He said that IFFI reflects India’s vision of a “Viksit Bharat” by supporting young talent and global collaboration.
Delegates and filmmakers from Australia, Japan, Germany, Canada and several other countries are attending the festival, making it a major international platform for cultural exchange.
As part of its tribute section, IFFI 2025 will honour legendary Indian artists such as Lata Mangeshkar and Guru Dutt, whose contributions continue to inspire generations.
With public participation, global engagement and a strong focus on future-ready cinema, IFFI 2025 aims to bring the best of world filmmaking to Goa and strengthen India’s place on the international creative stage.
