The embroidery technology sector witnessed a significant product launch in Bengaluru as embroidery machine manufacturer HSW introduced its latest innovation, the Turbo 1.5, which the company describes as India’s fastest single-head embroidery machine. The launch event was attended by entrepreneurs, embroidery professionals and industry partners eager to explore the new technology.
The product was unveiled by actress Pranitha Subhash, who interacted with guests and spoke about the increasing number of individuals exploring entrepreneurship through small-scale embroidery businesses.
Based in Surat, HSW has spent more than 13 years developing single-head embroidery machines that cater to boutique owners, garment manufacturers and home-based entrepreneurs. The company currently serves over 6,000 customers across India and several international markets. Many of these users have established independent embroidery businesses using HSW machines.
The newly launched Turbo 1.5 has been engineered to improve production speed and efficiency for embroidery professionals. With a maximum speed of 1500 RPM, the machine is designed to support faster production while maintaining precision.
Key features of the Turbo 1.5 include a 10-inch touchscreen computer system, a 12-needle configuration, and both automatic and manual thread trimming. The machine also offers automatic and manual colour change functionality, making it suitable for various textile applications such as T-shirts, blouses and traditional lehenga work. The model comes with a five-year warranty, reflecting the company’s focus on reliability and long-term performance.
Alongside Turbo 1.5, HSW also introduced two additional single-head embroidery machines: Ultra and Neo.
The Ultra model is an upgraded version of the company’s popular 5G series. It features a 10-inch touchscreen system, 12-needle setup and a maximum speed of 1200 RPM. Designed for garment manufacturers and embroidery professionals, the Ultra offers a larger embroidery area suitable for customised textile production.
The Neo model, meanwhile, is aimed at beginners and small production units. With a 12-needle system and maximum speed of 1200 RPM, the compact machine focuses on ease of use and practical operation. It is suitable for embroidery work on caps, T-shirts, blouses and traditional garments.
Speaking at the launch, HSW founder Tapan Kapadia emphasised that the company’s goal has always been to create machines that help individuals build businesses rather than simply operate equipment.
Over the years, HSW machines have supported thousands of entrepreneurs in starting embroidery ventures. Many of these businesses are run by women, including widows and single mothers who operate small embroidery units from home.
With the introduction of Turbo 1.5, Ultra and Neo, HSW is expanding its product range while continuing to support entrepreneurs seeking efficient and accessible embroidery technology.
