Coca-Cola India has introduced a first-of-its-kind airport activation in collaboration with Bangalore International Airport Limited, transforming the passenger experience at Kempegowda International Airport. This innovative initiative blends digital convenience with on-ground engagement, offering travellers a refreshing break during their journey.
Launched on April 23, 2026, the activation marks a strategic partnership between two category leaders. It is built around a shared idea that even a small, timely moment of refreshment can make travel more enjoyable. As airports increasingly evolve into experiential hubs, this collaboration aims to connect with passengers in a meaningful and seamless way.
At the centre of the initiative is Pulse, the official all-in-one digital platform of BLR Airport. Travellers passing through both terminals can simply scan a QR code displayed across in-terminal digital screens, enrol on the app, and receive a complimentary chilled Coca-Cola. The process has been designed to be quick and effortless, allowing passengers to engage without disrupting their journey.
Once enrolled, users can redeem their beverage at a specially created Coke® Zone within the airport. This space is marked by a striking “can”-shaped installation that serves as both a visual attraction and a functional touchpoint. The installation stands out as a landmark within the terminals, drawing attention and encouraging interaction among travellers.
The campaign is further supported by a strong digital presence across airport media channels. From display screens to strategic touchpoints, the activation ensures consistent visibility throughout the passenger journey. By integrating digital engagement with physical experience, the initiative creates a cohesive brand interaction that feels both modern and intuitive.
Speaking about the collaboration, Abhishek Gupta, Vice President, Customer Development at Coca-Cola India and Southwest Asia, highlighted the importance of airports as dynamic consumer spaces. He noted that travellers interact with multiple touchpoints during transit, making it an ideal environment for meaningful brand engagement. According to him, the partnership leverages BLR Airport’s digital infrastructure alongside Coca-Cola’s brand strength to deliver a practical and enjoyable experience.
Echoing this sentiment, Devayani DV, Assistant Vice President, Performance Marketing and Advertising at Kempegowda International Airport, emphasised the focus on enhancing passenger journeys. She stated that the initiative aligns with the airport’s goal of offering experiences that add real value. By integrating the activation with the Pulse app, the airport is using digital innovation to provide something timely and relevant to travellers.
With millions of passengers passing through BLR Airport each year, the collaboration represents an important step in Coca-Cola India’s travel retail strategy. It allows the brand to engage directly with consumers in a high-traffic environment while reinforcing its positioning around refreshment and accessibility.
Beyond the activation, Coca-Cola continues to maintain a strong presence in India with a diverse beverage portfolio. From sparkling drinks to hydration, juices, and premium offerings, the company serves millions of consumers through an extensive retail network. Its focus remains on innovation, sustainability, and delivering quality products across categories.
This airport initiative reflects a broader shift in how brands connect with audiences. By combining technology, convenience, and experience, Coca-Cola India and BLR Airport have created a model that could shape future travel retail engagements across the country.
