The glamour of the red carpet made its way from Cannes to Mumbai as actress Komal Thakkar inaugurated ALF NOVA Aesthetic Skin Clinic at Hiranandani Gardens, Powai. Known for her appearances at the Cannes Film Festival, Thakkar brought a touch of the international film festival’s glamour to the launch, which marked the beginning of ALF NOVA’s new journey in Mumbai.
Thakkar has walked the Cannes red carpet three times, appearing at the festival in 2022, 2023 and 2025. Her presence at the Powai launch connected her international film festival experience with Mumbai’s growing interest in aesthetic care, beauty and wellness.
ALF NOVA has been founded by Dr. Alifia Rizvi, a consulting aesthetic physician, cosmetologist, trichologist and aesthetic gynaecologist. Speaking at the inauguration, Dr. Rizvi highlighted the changing demand for aesthetic and wellness services in modern lifestyles. She also emphasised the importance of providing specialised services under one roof.
The inauguration brought together guests from different fields. Among those present were Shivram Bhandari of Shivaji Salon, Ashok Dhamankar, founder of Magnet Publishing and publisher of Society Achievers Magazine, builder Dr. Akhtar Rizvi, and Advocate Rubina Rizvi, Director of Rizvi Education Society, among others.
The traditional lamp-lighting ceremony marked the formal beginning of the clinic’s journey. The guests extended their wishes to Dr. Alifia Rizvi as ALF NOVA opened its doors.
