The makers of ‘Tujhya Aaila’ have released their latest song, ‘Bagad Bagad’, a nostalgic track that celebrates childhood, friendship and the simple moments that often become our most treasured memories. Directed by National Award-winning filmmaker Sujay Dahake, the Marathi film is set to arrive in theatres across Maharashtra on September 25, 2026.
More than a musical release, ‘Bagad Bagad’ appears to play an important emotional role in the film’s narrative. The song takes listeners back to a time when summer afternoons meant endless games, neighbourhood adventures and friendships that seemed destined to last forever. Its warm, energetic mood captures the innocence and restlessness of growing up while reminding audiences of moments many may have left behind.
The track has been sung by Avdhoot Gupte, with lyrics penned by Mandar Cholkar and music composed by Varun Likhate. Released under the Zee Music label, the song combines an uplifting melody with lyrics that evoke the emotional landscape of school and adolescent life.
The song opens with the poignant lines, “Jitha Jitha Gelas Tu, Umatla Tuzha Thasa…”, immediately establishing a reflective mood. As the track progresses, it revisits familiar memories of childhood playing games after school, running through neighbourhoods, forming friendships, experiencing rivalries and eventually confronting the first painful separations that come with growing up.
Its recurring refrain, “Unad Dupari Bagad Bagad…”, is particularly evocative. It brings to mind those carefree summer afternoons when children could spend hours outdoors without worrying about schedules, responsibilities or the pressures of adult life. In that sense, the song isn’t merely describing childhood; it attempts to recreate the feeling of being a child.
The visual treatment further strengthens that nostalgia. Shot in natural light and across realistic locations, the song reflects the grounded storytelling associated with Sujay Dahake. Rather than relying on elaborate production design, the visuals focus on everyday spaces and authentic moments, allowing the characters and their experiences to remain at the centre.

Avdhoot Gupte’s energetic vocals complement Cholkar’s evocative lyrics, while Likhate’s composition gives the song both movement and emotional depth. ‘Tujhya Aaila’ is produced through a strategic partnership between Panorama Studios, Cult Digital and Prakash Films. Kumar Mangat Pathak, Abhishek Pathak and Muralidhar Chhatwani are producing the film under Panorama Studios; Suunil Jaiin and Aditya Joshi under Cult Digital; and Rajesh Singh under Prakash Films. Sushant Vengurlekar, Mohit Aroora and Meghana Pramanik are the co-producers.
The film stars Rajshri Deshpande, Rohini Hattangadi, Sambhaji Bhagat, Abhijit Thite, Soham Babar and Abhishek Zende, along with an ensemble of child artistes.
With ‘Bagad Bagad’ bringing childhood memories to the forefront, ‘Tujhya Aaila’ has added another emotional layer to its promotional campaign. The film is now gearing up for its September 25 theatrical release, with the song offering audiences a nostalgic glimpse into the world that awaits them.
